In this project, I led the UX/UI design to enable a high volume of customers at 7-Eleven to make payments quickly during peak hours and to allow delivery customers to complete payments outside the store seamlessly. Additionally, I optimized the POS Mobile app to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for 7-Eleven staff, including cashiers and delivery personnel.
Project Summary & Impact
Business : Enhanced the efficiency of customer payments during peak hours, enabling faster transactions. Additionally, improved access to promotions, provided personalized promotion recommendations, and streamlined the use of All Member benefits. The system also supports seamless off-site payments, accommodating TrueMoney Wallet and cash transactions.
User : Designed a simple and intuitive user experience for POS Mobile, ensuring seamless and hassle-free usage. This resulted in smooth transactions, fast coupon redemption, and efficient use of discount points—aligning with the intended goals.
POS Mobile Concept
During peak hours, a large number of customers visit 7-Eleven, but each store typically has only around five checkout counters, which may not be sufficient to handle the high demand. Expanding by adding new POS machines incurs high costs, including installation and ongoing maintenance fees.
To address this challenge, the POS Mobile project was introduced. This solution significantly reduces the cost of adding new POS systems while providing flexibility, as it is not restricted to a fixed location. POS Mobile can be utilized for delivery services and off-site sales points, allowing seamless transactions beyond the store.
As a result, customers can now choose to shop through multiple channels, including in-store purchases, 7-Eleven App (Delivery), and off-site sales locations. This not only enhances overall customer convenience but also improves service accessibility and drives sales growth.
